For best results we recommend using it at night before bedtime. AlignerWhite can be used daily until you’ve achieved your desired whitening results, then used less frequently to maintain your sparkling new smile. AlignerWhite can be paired with one of our AlignerFresh cleaning foams so your aligners or retainers stay clean, clear and undetectable.

WHITEN WHILE YOU WEAR

    At bedtime, clean your trays, and brush your teeth. Twist the bottom of the pen and apply a thin coat of gel onto the inside of each tray along the tooth surfaces you would like to whiten.

    Smile wide and dry off the front surfaces of your teeth.

    Pop your trays back in your mouth, and let the gel naturally dissipate as you sleep. No need to rinse.

    It is easiest to apply AlignerWhite to your trays so that you can see the amount of product dispensed and the areas. If you prefer, you may apply AlignerWhite to your teeth before inserting your aligners instead.

  • Do I have to have aligners to use AlignerWhite?

    AlignerWhite may be used directly on teeth without the use of aligners, though results may be more limited.

  • How frequently can I use AlignerWhite?

    We expect that most people will see 2-3 shades of whitening but keep in mind that results will vary from person to person.

  • Will AlignerWhite whiten attachments?

    The whitening effect on attachments varies depending on the material. It is possible but not guaranteed. AlignerWhite does whiten the tooth under the attachment.

  • Does AlignerWhite whiten veneers, crowns, caps, restorations, permanent bridges, or other permanent restorations?

    AlignerWhite does not whiten permanent restorations of this type, but it is safe for use with all dental work.

  • How long should I wait before eating after applying AlignerWhite?

    It is best to use AlignerWhite before bed to allow prolonged tooth contact, but if you would like to eat after application, we recommend waiting at least 15 minutes.

  • Is it okay to swallow AlignerWhite?

    While our formulas are gentle on your teeth and free of harsh chemicals, you don’t want to swallow more than trace amounts (much like mouthwash or toothpaste.)

  • Can I use AlignerWhite if I am pregnant or lactating?

    As with any tooth whitening product, AlignerWhite cannot be recommended while pregnant.

    Yes, though applying the gel to the tray may be difficult if AlignerFresh remains in the trays. If sensitivity occurs, decrease use or allow additional time between uses.

  • Can AlignerWhite be used with tight-fitting trays?

    Most patients find that AlignerFresh helps tight trays slide on better as it is a thinner solution that can provide a bit of lubrication. With AlignerWhite’s gel formula, we recommend waiting 24 hours after changing to a new tray before use.

  • When will I notice a difference in color?

    This varies by person and type of stains, but you should see a difference after 1-2 weeks.

  • How long will my AlignerWhite pen last?

    This depends on frequency and individual use, but one pen should last about one month with nightly use.

  • How long will the whitening effect last?

    Because tooth staining is mostly caused by the things we eat, drink (tea, coffee, wine), the duration can vary greatly. Adding AlignerFresh to your routine can help prevent newstains from accumulating and can help prolong the AlignerWhite whitening effect.

  • Is refrigeration needed?

    Refrigeration is unnecessary and AlignerWhite has a shelf life of 24 months at room temperature.

  • Will the gel stain clothes or other fabrics?

    Yes, as with any hydrogen peroxide product, there is a chance of bleaching if the gel comes into contact with fabrics or other porous materials.

  • Is AlignerWhite vegan and/or gluten free?

    AlignerWhite is vegan, cruelty-free, and gluten free as well.
